Franklin Templeton eyes top-10 ETF spot in Europe

The US asset manager hopes an increase in retail investor interest will fuel ETF growth in Europe

Franklin Templeton has its sights set on becoming a top 10 exchange traded fund provider in Europe “over the next few years”, as competition intensifies to win market share in one of asset management’s most competitive segments.

The $1.5tn US-headquartered asset manager launched its European ETF business in 2017, and has since gathered $2bn of assets, according to ETFGI data.
