John McCalla-Leacy: ‘I was the only Black person on the main board of the Big Four ever’

It’s been nearly three years since George Floyd, a 46-year-old Black man, was murdered by a 44-year-old white police officer in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in the US.

His death sparked mass protests all over the country - and was felt profoundly across the City, too. Initiatives such as #TalkAboutBlack and 10,000 Black Interns were formed to boost the pipeline of Black talent in financial services and confront racial inequalities.
