The Swiss government slashed bonuses for top managers at Credit Suisse by tens of millions of dollars after the lender’s $3.2bn fire sale to rival UBS. The Swiss Federal Council said it would wipe out all outstanding variable remuneration for Credit Suisse’s executive board.

Average equity partner pay at Kirkland & Ellis climbed by nearly 2% last year to $7.5m despite a slowing market for top law firms. The Chicago-headquartered firm’s revenue grew nearly 8% to $6.5bn in 2022, according to an American Lawyer report.
